The weather is my primary hobby. I run my own weather station, wrote a weather related newsletter, and I’m always tinkering with weather APIs and tooling.

I built my own weather dashboard in Retool that combines content from the NWS, MyRadar, Tomorrow.io, and my own weather station. It’s kind of like this but with a lot more functionality.

I also built this public dashboard that collects a lot of useful resources related to wildfires, the weather, etc.

My current project is using GPT-4 to rewrite forecast discussions from the NWS. This post outlines the early version and you can see a quick demo on YouTube.

I’ve written a collection of samples for a fake company to highlight content types outside of traditional technical docs. For some context, the fake company is called Fourcast.ai.io (FIO for short). The company is primarily a B2B business that sells proprietary weather forecasting models through custom-built hardware and software.
